MANAGEMENT CONTROL SYSTEMS (2 SCU)
Learning outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: describe and apply the management control alternatives and their effects; describe and apply the management control alternatives and their effects; analyse the effectiveness of a management control system; explain and analyse issues of good corporate governance, roles and ethics; identify and analyse the problems related to management control practices and propose alternative solutions.
Topics:
This course focuses on broadening and deepening students’ conceptual and technical understanding of accounting as it is used for management purposes. The major part of this course will emphasize on management function and control alternatives, which is importance at managerial levels in all but the smallest organization. The other part of this course will focus on the financial control, measurement and evaluation of the performances of organization entities and their managers.
