VENTURE CAPITAL AND PRIVATE EQUITY LANDSCAPE (2 SCU)

Learning Outcomes:

Upon the successful completion of this course, students are expected to understand the venture capital and private equity landscape in Indonesia and South-east Asia.  The students will be able to identify the role of venture capital and private equity in the venture development and scale up process as well as to identify the key players and their portfolios. Through this understanding, student will also able to scope for opportunities and to develop a potential network to the movers and the shakers in Indonesia and in the region.

Topics:

Venture capital and private equity landscape includes topics such as the landscape of venture capital and private equity in Indonesia and South-east Asia.  The course also includes discussions on how venture capital works and what do they look for from entrepreneurs.  Through discussions with practitioners – entrepreneurs and venture capitalists – in this course, the students will be able to scope for opportunities and to pursue further engagement with the important and relevant stakeholders in this sector.
