BUSINESS ETHICS (3 SCU)
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: identify and evaluate business ethics and law related issues in both local and international contexts; explain and analyze the roles of ethics and social responsibility in a company’s overall business strategy in both local and international contexts; identify, explain, and analyze theories, related concepts, and related issues to business ethics and law in both local and international contexts; assess the impact of Business Ethics and law issues for individuals and organizations; propose solutions based on an ethical analysis of both local and international contexts; and have business communication skills.
Topics:
This course introduces contemporary issues of ethics, morality, and social responsibility that face the business community in Indonesia as well as abroad. From the point of view of business ethics, the course provides a platform for introspection and discussions for social, economic, and governance issues that arise in both domestic and international platforms. The course covers both local and international case studies to enrich students’ understanding of corporate social responsibility and good corporate governance with the expectation that student are able to propose responsible decisions with enhanced sensitivity to various stakeholders who are affected by management decisions.
