Internationalization Program

Introduction

As one of the largest and most established universities in Indonesia, BINUS University continues to expand its global network of learning partners to provide students with high-impact international learning experiences.

Students are encouraged to seize these opportunities to gain global exposure, broaden perspectives, develop cross-cultural understanding, and acquire internationally relevant skill sets. Through their participation, students are encouraged to share insights from their internationalization experiences and inspire peers to engage in various internationalization programs, contributing to a more globally connected BINUS community.

The international programs or activities at BINUS University are designed to provide students with international experiences during their study period. The program includes the following activities:

• Student Exchange – A reciprocal mobility program where students study at a partner institution for one to two semesters, earning academic credits with a tuition fee waiver.
• Study Abroad Fee-Paying Program – A one-way mobility program where students study at a partner institution for one to two semesters on a fee-paying basis and earn academic credits.
• Double Degree Program – A joint academic program with a partner institution, enabling students to earn degrees from both institutions.
• Short Course – A credit-bearing program conducted for one to four weeks at a partner institution, subject to academic approval.
• Short Program – A short-term non-credit program conducted for a minimum of three days to two weeks, focusing on academic enrichment and international exposure.
• Internship Abroad – A professional internship conducted at overseas companies, NGOs, foundations, government agencies, or other international organizations.
• Internship at Global Organizations in Indonesia – An internship conducted at Indonesia-based organizations with international scope, foreign professionals, or global mandates.
• Volunteering Abroad – Participation in volunteer activities conducted outside Indonesia through international organizations or community programs.
• Volunteering in International Organizations in Indonesia – Volunteering activities conducted at Indonesia-based international organizations.
• Volunteering Programs with Foreign Participants – Structured volunteering programs involving active interaction with foreign participants.
• Research under Supervision of Foreign Researcher/Faculty – Research conducted under the guidance of a foreign researcher or faculty member through international collaboration.
• Research at Foreign Institutions – Research conducted at overseas universities, research centers, or academic institutions.
• Info Session – An informational session introducing international programs, opportunities, and pathways offered by BINUS and partner institutions.
• Seminar – An academic or professional learning activity featuring international perspectives through expert talks or discussions.
• Conference – A scholarly or professional forum for international discussion, presentation, and networking.
• Competition – An academic, innovation, or skills-based competition conducted in an international or multicultural context.
• COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning) – A virtual collaborative learning program connecting BINUS students with partner institutions abroad.
• iBuddy+ – A peer engagement program that pairs BINUS students with international students to foster intercultural exchange.
• International Event Committee – Student involvement in organizing and supporting international events and programs.
