DESIGN THINKING AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP (3 SCU)
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to apply design thinking and integrative thinking approaches in business decision-making, design a prototype using the design thinking process, analyze the traits and skills of successful entrepreneurs and ventures, create business model based on the prototype created using a design thinking approach, and create a business through a business plan and ICT utilization.

Facing global competition, businesses around the world are trying to survive by creating innovative products or services. Design thinking is one way to initiate creativity and “out-of-the box” ideas that can be implemented in business decision making or product/service development and has been implemented successfully by different businesses. This course aims to acknowledge the role of design thinking to successfully transform businesses and spark innovation and will bring students to step out of their comfort zones into a more adventurous venture in business.
