CASE STUDY IN CIVIL ENGINEERING (2 Credits)

Learning Outcomes:

On successful completion of this course, student will be able to: Explain problems in Civil Engineering project; Identify the proper solving problem and analysis relating to civil engineering project problems; Analyze the various detail engineering study and design in civil engineering project; Calculate the various detail engineering study and design in civil engineering project; Describe the chosen appropriate and effective solving problem in civil engineering project; Apply preparation and executing design and construction methods in civil engineering project.

Topics:

1. Introduction to cases which are common in the field (can be taught by guest lecturer);
2. Introduction to cases of problem/failure encountered in the field of construction (can be taught by guest lecturer);
3. Case studies for a high-level building projects (can be taught by guest lecturer);
4. Case studies for infrastructure projects (can be taught by guest lecturer);
5. Case studies for geotechnical projects and highway engineering project (can be taught by guest lecturer);
6. Case studies for water and hydraulic projects (can be taught by guest lecturer);
7. Case studies for project management (can be taught by guest lecturer);
8. A review and evaluation of case, reparation and executing design and construction methods in civil engineering project (can be taught by guest lecturer).
