PROJECT HATCHERY (2 SCU)
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to analyze problems and situations holistically. Students are also provided with numerous opportunities to develop their skills in designing clear plans with target and resources management. This course is designed to provide best practices for students to design constructive breakthroughs that will generate benefits both for the people and environment around them. As an addition, this course offers students various activities that allow them to interact and collaborate within a multidisciplinary setting with empathy.
Topics:
This course provides students with opportunities to contribute and lead innovation in collaborative learning within a multidisciplinary team to tackle personal or societal challenges in a project setting by adapting a creative and innovative process called design thinking. Students should focus on the interactions among team members from different backgrounds and learn how to build their ideas on top of one another. Students will be facilitated throughout the process to understand the challenge and see it from a different perspective until each team can come up with an innovative solution with a good underlying argumentation.
