Learning Outcomes :
On successful completion of this course, student will be able to: explain the characteristics of at least one film theory from the syllabus (such as formalism, realism, semiotics, psychoanalysis, etc) and how it can be applied to understand certain film-related phenomena; Practice film analysis & film criticism based on film theories taught in class; Use proper references and at least one citation format in essays/ video essays; Create an argument on a film-related topic by applying at least one film theory taught in class.
