CIVIL SOCIETY AND GLOBAL GOVERNANCE (2 SCU)
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: identify key concepts in which civil society organizations operate; analyze the increasing presence and role of civil society actors or Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in regulating social affairs; demonstrate skills in essay writing appropriate to university level; examine the variety of roles and perspectives in which civil society actors are influencing social affairs (i.e., migration, global health, and climate policy).
