Learning Outcomes:

On successful completion of this course, student will be able to: LO1 – identify key perspectives and concepts on regionalism; LO2 – describe important development of regionalism that takes place in East Asia; LO3 – explain issues and policy options that affects the development of regionalism in East Asia; LO4 – analyze the systemic change that affects the development of regionalism in East Asia.

  7. The Evolution of Regional Economic Integration in East Asia;
  8. The developmental state and Asian regionalism;

  10. Understanding China’s regional diplomacy, projection and challenge;
  11. Understanding Japan’s role and its interest to the development of regionalism;
  12. Understanding ASEAN’s role to the development of East Asia Regionalism;
