OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT (4 SCU)
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: explain key concepts in operation and supply chain management; analyze the implications of a company strategy to particular operating decisions; analyze current operations and supply chain practices of a real company; identify operations and supply chain problem as well potential solutions for particular problems; perform forecast based on historical data as a tool for aggregate sales & operations planning.
Topics:
The course is designed to introduce a proven “best practice” approaches to the supply chain management. It brings together the strategic role of the supply chain, key strategic drivers of supply chain performance and the tools and techniques for supply chain analysis. In addition, students are introduced to the practical experience in using information technology to solve supply chain management problems.
