History of Western Art

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to identify and explain major art movements and artists influence in Indonesian Art and Culture History, explain the influence of Indonesian culture to the development of local arts and design works, communicate effectively on Indonesian art history with a range of audience.

Topics

This course examines the Western Art starting from prehistoric to twentieth century. Students will learn the various historic developments of Western Art, relate it with the development of graphic design and apply it into the design works. This course covers important artists, movements, and masterpieces in Western Art History.
