Learning Outcomes:

On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: LO1 – explain the principles of fermentation technology and apply microbial growth kinetics to optimize fermentation processes ; LO2 – apply the formulation of media, contamination control strategies, and inoculum culture for fermentation process; LO3 – apply bioreactors system for batch, fed-batch, and continuous fermentation processes and adopt scale-up principles for industrial fermentation; LO4 – solve problems related to upstream and downstream processing in microbial and plant cell bioprocess technology.
