Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: LO1 – Understand the intersection between biotechnology and sustainability, examining its implications for environmental conservation and business sustainability across diverse sectors; LO2 – Discuss the ethical considerations and regulatory frameworks inherent in biotechnological applications across industries, ensuring responsible innovation; LO3 – apply knowledge from detailed industry case studies to analyze real-world challenges, develop innovative solutions, and leverage biotechnology for sustainable outcomes; LO4 – construct innovative solutions for sustainable biotechnology sectors by creatively applying biotechnological knowledge, and integrating ethical principles and regulatory considerations into workforce planning.
