CELL AND MOLECULAR BIOLOGY LABORATORY (2 CREDITS)
Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: LO1 – Understand the importance of good laboratory practice to perform experiment in cell and molecular biology; LO2 – Demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques, as well as in the preparation of media, and the cultivation and maintenance of both animal cell cultures and plant tissue cultures; LO3 – perform proficiency in fundamental molecular biology techniques, including DNA isolation, gene amplification, and protein separation, as well as the ability to process and interpret the associated data.; LO4 – Examine testable hypotheses by conducting experiments using appropriate techniques through scientific methodology.
