POLITICAL COMMUNICATION (2 SCU)
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to explain theory of political science and political communication; explain the role of political elements for development and application such as political parties, bureaucracy, media and government in a political system; apply communication concepts and practices to current political situation; demonstrate personal views on local and global political issues. suitable theories; and express their views on political issues both verbally and in writing.
Topics:
This course covers theories and examples of political communication. It will discuss about state and forms of government, the political culture, trias politica, media and politics. as well as political party and modern ideology. The class will also discuss about policy process and agenda setting, election and public opinion, political communication of a party and, lastly, global political communication.
