Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: define the framework of producing public relations documents; apply a public relations writing technique in making and delivering a public relations publication in conventional and digital platforms; conduct public relations measurement by media monitoring effectively; analyze critical problems in the public relations industry when producing public relations publications; create a public relations report effectively; and develop a public relations strategy as the platform for solid public relations publications.
This course emphasizes the strategies of constructing a public relations message using the skills of persuasive writing. The class demonstrates writing techniques based on the strategic design and development of effective public relations messages. The class explores public relations plans and program as a tool of management. The purpose of this course is to introduce public relations processes, principles, history, current practices, and future trends that relate to current public relations. The practices and applications of public relations in a management setting are emphasized throughout the course.
