Writing Fundamentals (2 SCU)

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: understand different types of writing in the Communication field. They will learn about basic form of writings in journalism, public relations and other communication industry.  It will challenge students to explore their creativity in delivering their ideas for different media platform both traditional and new media.

Topics

The class introduces students to basic writings in communication field; develop an outline, writing articles, hard news and soft news, writing media release, develop social media content writing, writing blog posts.
