Organizational Communication and Professional Practice (4 SCU)
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: understand the principles of professional practices in an organization and the concepts of organizational communication; understand corporate identity, branding, and communications in organizations; explain the methods of creating an effective corporate communication in an organization, and investigate the best practices of corporate/organizational communication in real professional settings; as well as propose an effective corporate story or visual identity for a certain brand based on relevant corporate organizational theories/concepts in a multi-media form.
Topics
Students will learn topics including the concepts of organizational and corporate communication; corporate communication framework, professional practices of corporate communication through corporate identity and corporate branding; ethical branding and corporate social responsibility; stakeholder management; and organizational identification.
