UI/UX Design & Writing (4 Credits)
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: describe the principles of effective user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design, explain how user needs, behaviors, and goals influence UI/UX design decisions, apply core UI/UX design techniques to create low-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes, develop effective microcopy and interface writing to support user tasks and enhance user experience, and analyze the usability and communication effectiveness of existing digital products and suggest improvements.

Introduction to UI/UX, Principles of Good UI/UX, Understanding Users, User Research Methods, Wireframing, Prototyping for Interaction Building, Visual and Interaction Design Elements, Writing for Interfaces (Microcopy), Voice, Tone, and UX Writing Style, Usability Testing and Heuristic, Analyzing and Critiquing UI/UX Writing.
