FUNDAMENTALS OF DATA SCIENCE (2 SCU)
Learning Outcomes:
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to explain data science concepts and processes; perform data acquisition, preparation and preprocessing; build predictive models using supervised and unsupervised learning, perform network analysis for graph-structured data.
Topics:
The course provides students with the knowledge and skills of data science to perform exploratory data analysis, visualization, and develop predictive models. Topics covered in this course include theories and applications of data science, statistics, and data science algorithms. Students will learn to perform exploratory data analyses, visualizations, and build prediction models using data science techniques.
