PROGRAM DESIGN METHODS (2 SCU)
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: describe the history of computing, its role in the ICT industry, and societal impact; explain the basic principles of computing (hardware and software systems) and ethical issues associated with the use of IT; apply different software development models.
Topics:
This course aims to provide students with the foundation knowledge of contemporary Information Technology areas, hardware, software, applications, and job skills required to enter the IT market. Students will also develop an understanding of the current issues related to Information Technology. A major component of the course is the practical application of the knowledge gained from the theoretical content. The material covers a broad range of introductory Information Technology concepts.
