Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: apply the principles and knowledge of computer architecture in the design and construction of software systems of varying complexity, apply knowledge of computer architecture to create efficient software solutions.

The course is designed to explain about computer architecture and organization, which includes Computer Evolution and Performance, Computer Interconnection Structures, Internal and External Memory, I/O, Operating Systems Support, Computer Arithmetic, Instruction Sets, CPU Structure and Function, RISC, Superscalar Processors, Control Unit Operation, Microprogrammed Control, Multiprocessors and Vector Processing, and Digital Logic.
