DESIGN METHODS (4 SCU)
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to analyze the historical developments in fine arts, decorative arts and design, its relation with current major issues, processes, and directions of the field of graphic design; demonstrate an understanding on how to evaluate design objects by understanding the limitations and opportunities of each element and of the interaction of these elements, communicate the ideas in visual ways, and be able to employ this knowledge in analysis.
Topics:
This Course explores various design processes and analyze different aspect of design element in a form of project, presentation and smaller task. Students will creates a set of design processes in a form of process book based on the topic given, then present and iterate as necessary.
