DESIGN STUDIES III (7 SCU)
Learning Outcomes:
Students would demonstrate the ability in designing symbols, an identity (a logo) and its function to everyday life by first conducting research and developing strategy and concept of branding, then to apply the new corporate identity to a stationery set and other corporate materials as well as create a comprehensive GSM (Graphic Standard Manual) to go along with it.
They must also demonstrate an ability to take a graphic design brief to its finished state, up to the preflight production and presentation.

Visual Identity: Symbol, Logo, Brand; Introduction about Logo: Logotype, Logogram; Different types of logos, Introduction about Graphic Standard Manual & Corporate identity, Introduction on Personal Branding; Conduct individual portfolio reviews; Review and critique assigned pieces; Develop a cover letter and preliminary resume; Developing and creating E-Portfolio, Individual Final Portfolio Presentation Review.
