DESIGN AND CULTURE (4 Credits)

Learning Outcomes:

Students are able to connect design with local culture as a basis for designing and studying the thesis. This will produce the unique value of the work and thesis studies from the master of design.

Topics:

This course reviews the relation of art, design, and culture from philosophy, culture, and design perspective. Through external expert as guest lecturer, students are made acquainted with the very language of their own discipline. Accordingly, one can better grasps key and formal ideas of any influe¬ntial knowledge from which our current design practice stands and developed in now a days with other aspects such as in cultural aspect.
