RESEARCH DESIGN STRATEGIES (4 Credits)

Learning Outcomes:

Students are appointed as supervisors during the process of creating and reviewing designs. Students are also guided to decide on appropriate research methods to use in working on their thesis.

Topics:

This course consists of material on design research strategies, which are also projected for the creation/design (research for creation) of design work or study design. For this reason, this course studies convergent research methods and models that combine several (interdisciplinary) disciplines, including ethno-semiotics, design sociology, design psychology, eco-design, and others. In addition, a method was also developed which combined qualitative and quantitative approaches (mix method), both explanatory and exploratory.
