Visual Communication Design II (4 Credits)

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: Identify the importance of interactive design, applicable in screen-based design projects across various devices; Apply major elements of interactive design into class project; Experiment with various application of grid system in interactive design, together with the supporting visual graphic elements; Use creativity flair to enhance the visual development.

Topics:

This project serves as an in-depth introduction to screen-based design with a focus on User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) within the context of mobile application development. The goal is to familiarize students or participants with the principles, processes, and tools used in designing interactive and user-centered mobile interfaces. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, participants will explore the end-to-end design workflow — from initial research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and user testing.
