PROJECT HATCHERY (2 SCU)
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to apply best practices (such as design thinking) in problem solving context, to search and utilize information independently, to work and communicate effectively in multidisciplinary team, to learn project management techniques and tools for implementation, and to enhance innovation capabilities – to generate novel thoughts and methods
Topics:
This course introduces concepts and practice of working on real world projects involving a variety of stakeholders. The early stage student will be part of a work community with students, who study different fields. A well defined problem chosen by the lecturer/mentor will be assigned to each multidisciplinary group. Every session would comprise a brief lecture of concepts and best practices, followed by practical work on the project under the mentorship of the lecturer.
