ENTREPRENEURSHIP HATCHERY (3 SCU)
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to demonstrate active engagement in various development programs to support innovations. This course provides numerous opportunities for students to apply creative thinking techniques as well as creative alternatives that result in innovative workplace practices including startups. In addition, this course encourages students to valuate and propose strategies for continuous improvements. The Entrepreneurship Hatchery Course enables students to acquire new skills such as taking pro-active decisions in uncertain situations and being persistent in achieving successful plans or goals.
Topics:
This course is the continuation of Project Hatchery. It is designed to provide students with experiences to explore business opportunities and develop validated products. Students will experience projects with frameworks which lead them to become members of an entrepreneurial-oriented group. During the course, students are encouraged to be creative, think critically, have a prototype-driven mindset, and be mindful of the processes in all activities. Students are also required to culminate their collaboration skills with their peers from different programs, so that they are able to broaden their viewpoints in developing their products or services. This course will provide insights for students about what it takes to become an entrepreneur and prepare them to take the Entrepreneurship Enrichment track in a later semester.
