DESIGN REALIZATION AND PROMOTION I (4 SCU)
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: apply a range of techniques in visualizing design ideas; develop a creative and innovative design solution; create well-prepared products; align with the idea exploration and the concepts; as well as apply principals of aesthetics in design and production.
This course involves the realization of a design through product development. This will be the first live project for students. They need to demonstrate their analytical skills in developing a contemporary design that captures the market needs as well as have an initial research on trends and develop a style based on traditional heritage. The final outcome should creatively demonstrate the innovative fashion marketing concepts and branding. Students can choose their own products such as accessories, garments, home-ware collections, or any fashion products.
