CONTEMPORARY FASHION (3 SCU)
Learning outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to explain major art movements also cultural and contemporary issues in modern art movement related to fashion design, analyze art movement on clothing development from ancient world to the classic time, modernism in the early 20th century, until now, assess different fashion design through art appreciation and criticism, and produce well written paper or portfolio about history of art movement.
Topics:
This course examines the history of Art Movement from ancient world to the classic time, modernism in the early 20th century, until now. To the larger extend student will study various historic culture developments as well as behaviors of clothing in relation with the art movement. This course also covers important artists, movements, and masterpieces of art history. This could be learning base to understanding relations between history, fashion, culture, and art.
