SUSTAINABLE FASHION (3 SCU)

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this course, each student will have the ability to: analyze cultural conditions and technological advancements to develop a fashion design solution, identify eco-design movement, and apply it in a fashion design; produce and justify a communication strategy and content presentation materials to endorse a design solution; apply effective time management and planning skills in planning and creating an eco-fashion prototype; and apply appropriate research skills to produce an eco-fashion item.

Topics:

This course offers a further exploration of issues and ethical aspects in fashion. It aims to encourage students to deal with more complex sustainable designs and eco-designs. The course will improve students’ analytical skills in interpreting the environmental and ethical issues happening in the society and link it with their own projects in fashion.
