FASHION GLOBAL EXPERIENCE (4 SCU)
Learning Outcomes: Upon successful of this course, students are expected to be able to: apply appropriate techniques in producing ready-to-wear fashion while considering aspects of aesthetics, efficiency, and effectiveness; able to apply professional and ethical values in fashion industry; able to evaluate quality of fahsion product, and conduct independent evaluation and judgement in relation to consumer, ergonomical, and environmental perspectives; able to conduct comprehensive research on complex design issues and identify relevant, reative, and innovative design solution; and able to develop design concept through practice, exploration, and experimentation.
Topic: This course aims to widen students’ awareness about the diversity of the womenswear industry by having collaboration with local industry. Through collaboration and discussion, this course will assist students in engaging with industry analysis, design and manufacturing processes that centre around aesthetics and craftsmanship in relation to diverse cultures, societies, and business practices.
