SCRIPTWRITING III (4 SCU)

Learning Outcomes :

Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: Explain types of genre films; Experiment on surreal characters in a nonrealistic/surrealist background; Interpret symbolic scenes to represent real life situation; Use proper writing structure to write genre film; Practice writing short script for genre films.

Topics :

The third year film production classes will focus on non-realistic/surrealist story, where students will develop stories that are detached from reality. This class also introduces students to different formats for television and other mediums, and explores more technical aspects in scriptwriting. This course will also introduce student how to sell their script and being a screenwriter professionally
