Thesis – Part 1
Learning Outcomes:
Upon succesful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to analyze the market and industry using latest business management conceptual frameworks; demonstrate an understanding of a holistic view of business management; display effective verbal and written communication skills.
Topics:
This compulsory course emphasizes research and analysis, by offering three alternative assessment activities: an Academic research, a Consulting project or a Business Model Creation (BMC) project. The first stage of this process will decide on a topic and the School will assign an academic supervisor to assist each individual or group of students in their thesis/final project report based on the student(s)’s own thesis outline proposal. To assess the students’ progress of the thesis/final project report writing, at the end each student/group of students must present a thesis proposal (chapter one to three) in front of a panel of academics at the end of this term. Students are also expected to spend most of their independent study time outside the class/campus. Periodically, each student is scheduled to meet with the assigned supervisor, to discuss about their work and progress on the project and the written report. The students will receive either verbal and/or written feedback from the assigned supervisor.
