1. This course provides an overview of information systems (IS) in the business world
2. It presents an organizational view of how information technology (IT) is manipulated or applied to create competitive advantages, manage global organizations, transform organizations, and collaborate with business partners more effectively
3. Topics include electronic businesses, information technology infrastructure, databases, telecommunication systems, the strategic use of information systems, the development of information systems, the economics of IT, and security issues involved with information systems
