Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to explain the impact of facilities management (trends and issues), explain the building system such as solid and hazardous waste, water, electrical systems, heating, air conditioning, ventilation, life safety and security, explain the building planning and design.

Topics

The course provides students with the basic knowledge of the basic facility management principles and the role facilities play in the hospitality industry, how building systems work and how buildings are put together It also covers legal and environmental issues.
