Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: analyze market and business environment in Middle East region; demonstrate a critical and creative thinking in understanding the cross-culture and cross-border social issues for solving business problems in Middle East region environment.
Topics
This course provides in two parts global understanding of Business’ culture in Middle East region. The first part of the course gives an understanding of the Middle East culture, politic and economy and its changes. It presents a comprehensive analysis of the transformation of the political economy of development in the contemporary Middle East over the past several decades. It retains a focus on the interaction of economic development processes, state systems, and social actors. The second part of the course will focus on Business in Middle East. It investigates the opportunities for foreign companies to do business in Arabian countries, especially in the UAE. It looks at the unique nuances of the GCC market opportunity and provides specific strategies to approach with.
