Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to apply different approaches to specifying what is required of a software system ; describe and discuss the foundational concepts and technologies associated with the contemporary paradigm(s) for software development ; describe and apply modern analysis concepts, techniques and notations to synthesize a model a problem and problem domain ; describe and apply modern design concepts, techniques and notation to find and specify models of software solutions to problems ; explain the job of a software analyst and designer and how this unit can be a stepping-stone onto a career path leading to such a position.

This course introduces the foundational concepts of object orientation, user requirements method such as use-cases, and object-oriented software, This course is controlled by Curtin University of Technology and is offered only to students participating in the Double Degree program with Curtin University of Technology.
