Develop professional project design documentation to meet the requirements of software or cybersecurity industry standards; Conduct effective and collaborative project team meetings through application of team dynamics knowledge; Create a project management framework for application to Computer Science & Information Technology projects; Critically analyse the security aspects of project development and embed risk mitigation in project management processes; Critically appraise, analyse, refine and document system requirements to solve real-time problems in software or cybersecurity systems.

Project management is the process of leading the work of a team to achieve specified goals and outcomes in a specified time. This subject provides necessary skills and techniques to manage small or medium-sized information technology projects, with strong focus on the analytical side of project management, referring to scheduling, cost, and resource management, as well as the ‘people’ and client management issues that must be dealt with in order to ensure successful projects. In the subject you will work in a team to cover the skills required to assess, identify and manage risks to projects, to prepare realistic plans and appropriate documentation, track activities across project schedules and report appropriately to stakeholders. Your team’s project will be assessed at different stages.
