COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW IN JAPANESE (4 Credits)

Learning Outcomes:

On successful completion of this Course, students will be able to: Recognize familiar words, basic phrases related to areas of most immediate personal relevance (myself, family information, shopping, local area) when people speak slowly and clearly; Recognize familiar names, words, simple sentences and very simple texts in everyday material, such as notices, posters, catalogues, advertisements, menus & time tables; Demonstrate communication, ask and answer in simple way on routine tasks or familiar topics and activities provided the other person who prepared to repeat or rephrases things at a slower rate of speech; Use simple series of phrases and sentences to describe in simple term such as where I live, family, and other people, living conditions and my educational background; Write a short and simple postcard, notes, greetings, very simple personal letter, nationality, registration form, and messages relating to matters in areas of immediate needs.
