JAPANESE MANGA STUDIES AND READING II (NIHON NO MANGA BUNKA TO DOKKAI II)

Learning Outcomes :

On successful completion of this course, student will be able to: LO-1 : Identify key language features and visual elements in manga texts, such as kanji, hiragana, katakana, speech styles, and panel-based cues using correct pronunciation and intonation; LO-2 : Explain the meaning, nuance, and contextual implications found in manga narratives, including culturally embedded expressions within Japanese popular culture; LO-3 : Apply advanced reading strategies, including inference and contextual understanding, to interpret manga texts independently using correct Japanese grammar.
