Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this course, student will be able to: Estimate computed errors; Select methods that yield small errors (if possible); Approximate roots of equations using bisection, Newton’s method, and method of fixed point iteration; perform error analysis; Explain of interpolation, extrapolation, numerical integration, and numerical differentiation; know how to approximate definite integrals and derivatives; Analyze a mathematical problem and determine which numerical technique to use to solve it; Interpret logical thinking in coding a mathematical problem in algorithmic form
