PROPERTY MANAGEMENT (2 SCU)

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: explain the principles and concepts of managing and maintaining physical assets and facilities; identify basic commodity and energy as well as the procedure of purchasing and storage; Explain principles in controlling cost employee and the workflow rationally and economically.

Topics:

This course is designed to provide students an overview of the interdisciplinary nature of properties and facilities management. It discusses the framework within which facilities managers should operate and the key requirements of their task as well as builds up a body of facilities management knowledge by providing access and invaluable insight to the key issues (e.g. partnering, new patterns of working, e-commerce).
