DIGITAL BANKING AND FINTECH (4 SCU)
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: explain the intertwine between digital and open banking landscape, develop the practical skills necessary to prepare reports, analyze banking performance in new digital ecosystem, draw on practical examples and theories to sharpen key management skills and use digital tools to further contribute to the industry.
Topics
This course consists of three parts. First, it presents an overview of the diverse banking digital transformation models and further analyses the market’s development through partnerships with FinTech industry.
Secondly, this module focus on investigating banking performance by preparing practical business-oriented reports, and looks into aspects such as asset and liability management, liquidity management and capital adequacy management.
Thirdly this module will cover emerging technologies (Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, NFT etc.), and analyses key aspects of the relevant regulatory frameworks.
