STRATEGIC MARKETING MANAGEMENT (3 SCU)
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to: identify and respond to emerging local and global business opportunities; define, explain, and synthesize marketing management principles to local and global corporate performance; identify and analyze the market and industry using the latest marketing management conceptual frameworks; design and apply a comprehensive marketing management approach to address local and global business problems; and demonstrate effective teamwork, leadership, and marketing management skills in multi-disciplinary and multi-functional teams.
Topics:
The purpose of this course is to develop knowledge and skills in the strategic aspects of marketing. The course provides an understanding of marketing as the basis for management decision-making and as a framework for analyzing business situations. It exposes students to the concepts, tools, and techniques in marketing and provides them with the opportunity to apply these in problem-solving and decision-making in the area of marketing.
