LOGISTICS OPERATION (3 SCU)
Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to: identify logistics operational problems and issues in business organizations; assess and build innovative solutions in logistics management through research in a multidisciplinary environment based on ethical analysis both for local and international context; develop strategic and effective implementation plans in logistics management and operation; develop skills to collaborate in a team of supply chain in general as well logistics in particular in multidiscipline, multifunction, and multicultural people and organizations; and evaluate decisions in logistics management and operations based on business ethics both in the local and international contexts.
Topics:
Logistics is one of key components of supply chain management that enables getting the right supplies, locate and store materials of resources, and deliver values to customers. This course provides students the knowledge and skills in logistic network design and management, transportation management, logistics contracts, stock design and management, warehouse management, international logistics and distribution planning, export and import regulation, and port and maritime management.
