Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to comprehend: identifying and assessing the impacts of business problems and issues that affecting individuals and organizations; assessing decisions for solving problems in quality and risk for supply chain management; building innovative solutions for supply chain of organizations by implementing risk management and quality management system through research in a multidisciplinary environment based on ethical analysis; developing strategic and effective recommendation and implementation plans in risk and quality management both in local and international context.

Managing quality is required along the value chain to ensure an organization can ensure its inside-out and outside-in business activities are running according to the plans. Quality management has been the purview of operations management. On another note, anticipating and mitigating risks would allow the supply chain management to achieve the business objectives and minimize costs. Thus, this course provides knowledge and skills for supply chain professionals to comprehend lean and six-sigma management, supply chain risk assessment and management, development of risk and quality management taxonomies, managing resiliency, supply chain risk tactics and strategies, qualitative and quantitative approaches to supply chain risk assessment and quality management system development, and project management for quality management system.
