Upon successful completion of this course, students are expected to be able to apply new product development principles and analyze their relations to corporate performance; articulate critical and creative problem-solving skills in understanding contemporary and complex new product development process in competitive marketing settings; demonstrate an understanding of new product development role s in contributing an immediate business performance.
Topics
This course is designed to provide students with basic understanding of new product management and development. Drawing from industry’s best practices, students would be exposed to various applications of the new product development concepts in the business world. The course is to equip students with ability to analyze new product problems using both the point of view of consumers and companies, so that students would be able to give unique approach and sensitivities to attacking the problems and providing creative and innovative solutions to achieve and maintain companies’ competitive advantage and sustainable growth.
